• Ahsata Press (https://ahsahtapress.org/): Founded at Boise State University in 1974 with a focus on writing from the American West. Run by BSU Grad Students.

• Ghost Ocean Magazine (http://www.ghostoceanmagazine.com): Short fiction, poetry, reviews, interviews. Run by a diverse masthead with even more diverse tastes and serving marginalized communities. Accepts simultaneous submissions.
• Gettysburg Review (http://www.gettysburgreview.com/): Published quarterly (both online and in print) by Gettysburg College. Accepts simultaneous submissions.
• Midwest Review (https://midwestreview.org/): Has an annual release schedule. Regional to the Midwest. Published by UW-Madison's Division of Continuing Studies. “... the Midwest is a state of mind.”
