the strawberry fields.
Their tired parents
warn them of
el cucuy--
and his hunger
​for children

Author's Statement: "In 'Coco,' I tried to bring the urban legend of 'el cucuy' from my parent's birthplace of Mexico, and the common workplace of fruit fields of undocumented immigrants coming to the United States."
