Rise - Shouzheng Chen

Shall be the day. Shakes
rust off her brittle feather;
shuffles fate in fire.
Shouzheng Cheng, a senior from Regina High School, states that, "This Haiku borrows ideas from the myth of Phoenix."

The editors were impressed with the author's use of the haiku format, managing to creatively incorporate both the challenge words and some striking imagery into a very short piece.
