Sadie Got Me in My Feelings

The stars aligned for me on Saturday.
Maybe, in the end they really did not.
I just could not keep my feelings at bay.
You should go up and talk to her, I thought.

Those kind blue eyes gazed right into my soul.
That curly blonde hair, a fine young lady.
This could be it, she's my life goal!
I'd love to stay here all night with Sadie.

She needs to go and now I'm left to roam.
It's okay, though, I gave her my number.
She said she will call me when she gets home.
I dream of her while in deep slumber.

She never called me, and I am hopeless.
​Why didn't she tell me she was homeless?
