WHAT ARE OUR GOALS?
We originally started Hot Dish Magazine to give high school students the opportunity to publish their work and showcase the tasty
literature from the Midwest (because we are more than just flyover states and corn fields). We are now accepting submissions from
all across America. We want to be a welcoming place for young writers to feel supported and encouraged to pursue their passion for
writing.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Passion. Different perspectives. Individuality. People who want to write, share their work with the world, and put their voices out there.

WHAT DO WE WANT TO DO FOR YOUNG WRITERS & READERS & TEACHERS?
We are dedicated to promoting literary advocacy by supporting young writing talent and encouraging readership in schools. Writing,
while often solitary, is also largely collaborative. This is also true of Hot Dish. We look forward to providing relevant resources to
teachers who encourage and push students creatively. We’ve all had teachers who have stood out in our memories and supported us
when everyone else thought we were crazy. Without support from teachers like this, where would any of us be? In the end, we strive
to be a resource for students and teachers alike. We endeavor to offer advice, inspiration, support, encouragement, and ultimately a
platform for writers to grow as creative individuals in a world that desperately needs more creative voices offering creative perspectives.
