Women locked in a cage through the passage of time. The men don’t realize how, why these problems arise. This frustration engulfs me, the ignorance consumes them; a cycle which seems to never cease. We tell them to stay away, too blinded by their ways. Boys will be boys; Girls will obey. The cage remains.
"My own personal experiences and the sexism that women face everyday inspired me to write this poem." - Elizabeth Stimmel, 12th grade, Regina High School.
