Pressure
By: Steve Huting
Why are we Condescending?
When everyone always casts doubt,
There are no happy endings.
When those around you are overextending,
And you’re always in a mental bout.
Why are we Condescending?
When your mind is bending,
And you feel there is no way out.
There are no happy endings.
When others' pressure on you is offending,
And your own thoughts just make you shout.
Why are we condescending?
When these thoughts are never-ending,
And your hope is just hanging about.
Why are we condescending?
There are no happy endings.
When everyone always casts doubt,
There are no happy endings.
When those around you are overextending,
And you’re always in a mental bout.
Why are we Condescending?

And you feel there is no way out.

And your hope is just hanging about.

There are no happy endings.
Writer's Statement: Pressure is about the pressures of life, pressures put on by others or even yourself and how those pressures just tease you with the idea of hope for an end.
