White - Cole White

Hot Dish Challenge
Why is white so plain? Is it just considered blank?
It is like clay; it can transform into anything.
Why isn’t it the most imaginative of all?
I mean, you can hardly change black.
You can’t do much to grey.
Even the rainbow can’t change.
So why isn’t white
the most imaginative
of them
all?

The editors enjoyed Cole's unique take on the 10-to-1 format, focusing on a single color's significance and imaginative potential, as well as the poem's connection to his own name. Cole White is a 12th grade student at Regina High School.
