Puberty - Brady Wallace

Hot Dish Challenge
Voice is a crackle and I'm breaking out of childhood,
growing hair in places I never thought I would.
Who’ll be tall starting in all the sports?
All the early bloomers now look short.
I don’t want my parents' support.
Leave me alone, I'm mature.
But give me money
to eat McDonald’s.
No, look--
pimples!

The editors enjoyed Brady's humorous and self-reflective take on a topic that many try to avoid associating themselves with. Brady is a 12th grade student from Regina High School.
